Robert Gutman is a Research Analyst and has worked at Robotti & Company since March of 2009. He has an extensive background in special situations research, with a focus on spin-offs, reorganizations, and turnaround situations. He began his research career at Gabelli & Co., and has worked at various investment companies, including, Kellner Dileo & Co, and Laterman & Co. He has a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a Master's Degree in Finance from the London Business School. Robert holds the Series 7, 55, 86, and 87 FINRA licenses.

Jeffrey Jacobowitz is a Managing Director with Robotti & Company, focusing on research and institutional sales. Jeff is also Managing Partner of Simcoe Partners, L.P. an investment partnership formed to invest primarily in undervalued small capitalization companies. Jeff worked as an analyst for Private Capital Management from 1999 through 2002 and as an analyst for Robotti & Company from 1996 through 1999. Prior to joining Robotti & Company in 1996, Jeff worked as a senior accountant at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland (UMBC) and is a Certified Public Accountant.

David has been with Robotti & Co. since 2005 and is a Research Analyst for the Company. David is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College, where he received a B.S. in Business Administration and Finance. While David does not focus on any one sector, he is continually searching for and trying to identify companies that have unique products and/or a strong competitive position. David holds the FINRA series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses.

David Kessler joined Robotti & Co. in 2009. David is a Research Analyst focusing on small/medium cap equities and special situations. Prior to joining Robotti, David worked in analyst roles with Aquamarine Fund and Ruane, Cunniff & Goldfarb. He also has experience as a Portfolio Management Associate with Rochdale Investment Management and as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley.David graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with a B.S. in Finance and Marketing. He received an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was selected to participate in the Applied Value Investing program. David is a CFA Level II candidate and holds the Series 7,63, 86, and 87 FINRA licenses.

Chris Sansone

Chris is a Research Analyst at Robotti & Company. Other than for a limited period during 2009 when Chris joined a newly formed private equity group with a focus on acquiring small public and private companies, Chris has been an analyst for Robotti & Company since 2003. He is also the general partner and portfolio manager of Sansone Partners, LP, a fund launched in July, 2007. While at Robotti, Chris has managed a firm proprietary account specializing in small- and micro-cap equities. Prior to Robotti, Chris traded over-the-counter securities for Jefferies & Co. where he helped start the restructured- company equity desk. He also traded securities for Schwab Capital Markets and Herzog, Heine, Geduld, Inc. Chris began his career at Gabelli & Company, Inc. as a trader in the mutual funds division. Chris served as a member of the OCA Incorporated Bankruptcy Equity Committee.He holds a B.S. in Economics from Pace University and received an award of academic distinction for his major. Chris holds the FINRA 7, 55, 63, 65, 86, and 87 licenses.

Isaac Schwartz is a Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst for the Firm. He is the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Robotti Global Fund. Previously, Isaac worked for Schiff's Insurance Observer, an investigative journal that focuses on the U.S. property-casualty insurance industry. Isaac holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his current FINRA registrations include Series 7, 63, 86, and 87.

Jeff is a Research Analyst at Robotti. Prior to joining Robotti & Company in 1991, Jeff spent five years with Carr Securities. Before coming to Wall Street, he practiced law in New York City. Jeff has a B.A. from Harvard College, a Master's Degree from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Some of Jeff's areas of coverage include Special Situations, Bankruptcy/Distressed Securities, Oil & Gas Producers and Oil Services. Jeff is a member of the New York Society for Security Analysts and holds the FINRA Series 4, 7, 63, 65, 86, and 87 licenses.
